Do you know what a Fabricator does? We do now! Today we met Mr. Lucas Henderson (but most people just call him Luke or Big Luke). He has two jobs in our community. One is working as a fabricator with granite making counter tops. He taught us all about where the rock comes from and how it is cut into slabs, shipped to Italy to be polished and then finally reaches him! His job is to cut the 1,000 to 2,000 pound slabs into counter tops! He is a very talented fabricator. His second job is a carpet installer. He even installed some of the carpet and tile at our elementary school! Mr. Henderson loves his family and has a special tradition of "Family Day" on Saturdays. He and his wife have five children with Autumn being his youngest. Autumn was so proud to have her daddy sharing his heart with us today! We enjoyed his interview very much and appreciate the granite he left for us in our classroom! The next time we see a granite counter top we will know how it is made!
